New Tunes
Swipe through music the way you swipe through everything else. Like it, skip it, flip the card for lyrics — and watch the deck learn exactly what you are into.
One deck. Four gestures.
Every card is a real 30-second preview, tinted by its own album artwork.
Swipe right to like
Saves the track to your liked songs and teaches the engine what you are into.
Swipe left to skip
Not for you. The deck learns from what you pass on, not just what you keep.
Swipe up to comment
React to a track the moment it hits, without breaking the flow of the deck.
Tap to flip
The album art turns over in 3D to reveal the lyrics on the back of the card.
What is that song?
Hold up your phone for about six seconds. New Tunes builds an acoustic signature on-device and matches it against Shazam's catalogue — then pulls in the artwork, the preview and the lyrics so the track is ready to play, like or share.
- On-device audio fingerprinting — no recordings are stored
- Matches against the full Shazam catalogue
- Artwork and preview loaded the moment it matches
- Like it, play it or share it without leaving the screen
And I was only just a boy
Standing on the shoreline
Waiting for the tide to turn
Somewhere in the distance
A light begins to burn
Lyrics on the back of every card
Tap the artwork and it flips in 3D. The words scroll in time with the preview, highlighting the line that is playing right now — so you can actually learn the song instead of guessing at it.
New Tunes even works out where in the track the preview starts, so the lyrics line up with the part you are hearing — usually the chorus.
A calendar made of album art
Every day you post a song, that day fills with its artwork. Scroll back through the months and see your taste change shape.
A deck that learns you
Every swipe adjusts your taste profile — weighted by artist, genre and how recently you swiped. Recent taste counts for more than what you liked three months ago.
Warms up fast
The first ten swipes are pure exploration. After that the deck starts steering, and by thirty it knows what it is doing.
Weighted by recency
What you liked last week matters more than what you liked in spring. Your profile moves as your taste does.
Never a filter bubble
No single genre is ever allowed to fill the deck — there is always room for something you would not have picked.
Thirteen genres, sorted by what you love most
